Becker Can Cooler
GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.

Add a conversation starter to your gathering with a nod to A. G. Becker, a Chicago firm that helped connect the commercial paper trade with modern investment banking. After its 1893 beginnings, the business grew into underwriting and brokerage, opened offices across the country, and later took part in an international venture with European partners. This can cooler celebrates the firm’s distinct journey through changing financial centers and corporate identities, appealing to collectors of banking history and former finance professionals alike.

A. G. Becker & Co. was a Chicago investment bank whose roots reach back to the 1880s commercial paper trade. In 1893, Abraham G. Becker took control of Herbert Schaffner & Co., a Chicago commercial paper business that had failed during the Panic of 1893, and established his own firm with $50,000 from a life insurance policy. By 1904, he had repaid the losses suffered by the former customers. The firm became a leading U.S. commercial paper dealer, then expanded into stock and bond brokerage and underwriting. Its first underwriting, for Hart Schaffner & Marx, was completed in 1911. By 1919, it had offices in New York City, St. Louis, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Portland and Seattle. In 1974, Becker joined a U.S. venture with London-based S.G. Warburg and Paris-based Paribas, operating as A.G. Becker-Warburg Paribas Becker. After Warburg's interest was bought out in 1983, the firm became A.G. Becker Paribas. Paribas took full control in 1984 and sold Becker's correspondent business to Pershing LLC that May. In August, Merrill Lynch acquired the remaining investment banking and securities businesses.

Regular Can

Slim Can

Height, in

4.30

6.00

Diameter, in

3.50

3.50

Product features

- Durable 100% polyester exterior with edge-to-edge vibrant print

- Soft 100% foam liner for firm grip and insulation

- Lightweight and slim — fits regular and slim cans

- Outside white polyester with black foam interior for contrast

- Available sizes: Regular (3.5" x 4.3") and Slim (3.5" x 6'")

Care instructions

- Wipe with a damp cloth, air dry or use a soft, non-abrasive cloth

EU representative: HONSON VENTURES LIMITED, gpsr@honsonventures.com, 3, Gnaftis House flat 102, Limassol, Mesa Geitonia, 4003, CY

Product information: Generic brand, two year warranty in the EU and Northern Ireland

Care instructions: Wipe with a damp cloth, air dry or use a soft, non-abrasive cloth
