accessair-ceramic-coffee-mug
AccessAir Ceramic Coffee Mug
GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.

Start the day with a reminder of AccessAir, the Des Moines airline that made a brief and ambitious attempt at low-cost regional flying. Service began in February 1999, with routes linking Iowa and neighboring markets through short stops and through-flights. After a Chapter 11 filing, the airline returned to the skies in November 2000, but low passenger numbers continued and operations ended in February 2001. Its circled-A identity and red-and-black Boeing 737-200 markings make this mug a thoughtful pick for aviation and corporate-history collectors.

AccessAir was a short-lived low-cost airline founded in 1998 and based in Des Moines, Iowa. After several delays, it began flying in February 1999, aiming to offer lower fares in markets including Des Moines, the Quad Cities, and Peoria. Its early route network linked Des Moines with New York's LaGuardia Airport through Quad Cities or Peoria stops; direct service to Los Angeles and a stop in Colorado Springs were added later. The airline also served or planned routes to cities including Chicago, San Francisco, Miami, Atlanta, Boston, Portland, and Seattle. AccessAir used point-to-point routes and through-flights, with brief intermediate stops. Despite discounted fares, passenger loads remained low. It filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in November 1999, after nine months of operations, following about 14,000 enplanements and estimated losses of $30 million. In spring 2000, Des Moines business leader John Ruan III provided funds to take control and restart the airline. Flights resumed in November 2000, initially linking Des Moines and Chicago Midway, with additional destinations intended. Low passenger numbers persisted, and the airline shut down in February 2001. Its fleet included Boeing 737-200 jetliners.

11oz

15oz

Height, in

3.74

4.61

Diameter, in

3.15

3.43

Product features

- Microwave-safe for quick reheats

- Dishwasher-safe for easy cleanup

- Available in 11oz and 15oz sizes

- Glossy white ceramic with vibrant, long-lasting print

- Lead- and BPA-free, comfortable C-handle

Care instructions

- Clean in dishwasher or wash by hand with warm water and dish soap

EU representative: HONSON VENTURES LIMITED, gpsr@honsonventures.com, 3, Gnaftis House flat 102, Limassol, Mesa Geitonia, 4003, CY

Product information: Generic brand, 2 year warranty in EU and Northern Ireland as per Directive 1999/44/EC

Care instructions: Clean in dishwasher or wash by hand with warm water and dish soap
