Aeromarine Airways began service with a flight from Key West to Havana in November 1920, then used flying boats to link Florida with Cuba and the Bahamas. Its passenger, mail, and freight routes captured a time when airlines were opening new connections across water. These golf balls are a thoughtful pick for golfers with an interest in aviation heritage, historic carriers, and the adventurous beginnings of international travel.

Aeromarine West Indies Airways was a U.S. airline formed through a merger of Florida West Indies Airways and Aeromarine Sightseeing and Navigation Company, a subsidiary of an aircraft manufacturer. It began operations on November 1, 1920, with a flight from Key West, Florida, to Havana, Cuba, becoming one of the country’s early international airlines. Its flying boats served routes between the mainland, the Bahamas, and Cuba. In spring 1921, the business was reorganized as Aeromarine Airways under president Inglis Moore Uppercu. From 1921 it carried passengers, mail, and freight, and introduced services and practices described in the source as U.S. airline firsts, including scheduled international passenger service and an airline ticket office. Service ended in early 1924 after the U.S. Post Office froze mail contracts. A new company using the Aeromarine West Indies Airways name was incorporated in Florida in February 2007. It proposed seaplane and propliner operations, initially between St. Augustine, Palm Beach, and Key West, but the supplied account describes plans rather than a confirmed launch.

Get your audience in the zone with these personalized golf balls.
