Based in Kabul and operating from Hamid Karzai International Airport, the regional carrier served five airports within Afghanistan before closing on June 15, 2016. Its sole aircraft remained at Maastricht Aachen Airport after the airline ended operations and was auctioned in 2025 to cover storage costs. A compact keepsake for collectors interested in short-lived carriers and the unexpected stories that follow an airline's final day.

Afghan Jet International Airlines was a regional airline based in Afghanistan, with its headquarters in Kabul and its operating base at Hamid Karzai International Airport. The airline served five airports, all within Afghanistan. The supplied historical record notes its destinations as of August 2014 but does not name them. By August 2016, its fleet consisted of a single aircraft. That aircraft was at Maastricht Aachen Airport for maintenance when the airline ceased operations on June 15, 2016. It remained parked there after the airline closed, and in 2025 it was auctioned to cover storage costs. The available account identifies no predecessor, merger, or successor airline, so Afghan Jet International is best understood through its own brief operating history: an Afghanistan-based regional carrier, its Kabul headquarters and airport base, its domestic service, and the later disposition of its sole aircraft. These details trace a company whose airline operations ended in 2016 while its aircraft remained part of a separate airport-storage story for years afterward.

2" x 2"

Width, in

2.00

Height, in

2.00

Depth, in

0.25

Product features

- 2" square porcelain tile with glossy finish

- Superior coating for bright, true-to-design color reproduction

- Vibrant, crisp printing using modern techniques

- Strong magnet mounted on the backside for secure hold

- Durable glossy surface that highlights fine details and contrasts

Care instructions

- Gently wipe the dirt or dust off with a clean, dry microfiber cloth

EU representative: HONSON VENTURES LIMITED, gpsr@honsonventures.com, 3, Gnaftis House flat 102, Limassol, Mesa Geitonia, 4003, CY

Product information: Generic brand, 2 year warranty in EU and Northern Ireland as per Directive 1999/44/EC

Care instructions: Gently wipe the dirt or dust off with a clean, dry microfiber cloth

https://ghostcorpapparel.com/products/afghan-jet-international-airlines-square-porcelain-fridge-magnet
