The story began in 1962, when Joseph Fallas opened a Fallas Paredes store in downtown Los Angeles. National Stores later operated under names such as Fallas, Factory 2-U and Conway, while shoppers carried memories of the stores and their changing eras. This ceramic coffee mug makes a thoughtful keepsake for former customers, collectors, and anyone drawn to the history of neighborhood department stores.

National Stores began in 1962 when Joseph Fallas opened a single downtown Los Angeles store called Fallas Paredes. The family-owned retailer later operated under names including Fallas, Fallas Discount Stores, Factory 2-U and Conway, selling clothing, shoes, lingerie and household goods. Fallas Paredes served the Hispanic American community. In 2001, National Stores acquired 31 Houston-area locations from Weiner's during that chain's liquidation. After Factory 2-U filed for bankruptcy protection in February 2004, National Stores arranged to acquire 172 stores; the chain liquidated later that year. National Stores acquired Conway in January 2014 and, in August 2015, took over leases for 41 Anna's Linens stores, with some locations adopting the Anna's Linens by Fallas name. The company moved its regional distribution operation from Otay Mesa to Perris, California, in 2016. It filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in August 2018 and expanded liquidation sales that October. Further Fallas Paredes closures began in early 2022. On August 31, 2022, National Stores closed its remaining locations in Puerto Rico and the contiguous United States.

11oz

15oz

Height, in

3.74

4.61

Diameter, in

3.15

3.43

Product features

- Microwave-safe for quick reheats

- Dishwasher-safe for easy cleanup

- Available in 11oz and 15oz sizes

- Glossy white ceramic with vibrant, long-lasting print

- Lead- and BPA-free, comfortable C-handle

Care instructions

- Clean in dishwasher or wash by hand with warm water and dish soap

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0955/2517/5580/files/6300591115554069306_2048_3c8f2dc2-2720-409b-ad52-5fdb8544151c.jpg?v=1791334426
