After Factory 2-U filed for bankruptcy protection in February 2004, National Stores arranged to acquire 172 stores; the chain liquidated later that year. National Stores acquired Conway in January 2014 and, in August 2015, took over leases for 41 Anna's Linens stores, with some locations adopting the Anna's Linens by Fallas name. The company moved its regional distribution operation from Otay Mesa to Perris, California, in 2016. It filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in August 2018 and expanded liquidation sales that October. Further Fallas Paredes closures began in early 2022.
