The brand began in 1958 with a single store in Fairmount, New York, then grew into a regional chain with roots in Central New York and a presence in communities such as Rochester. Fay's name recalls everyday local shopping as well as the changing business history of American drugstores. This useful desk companion makes a thoughtful choice for former customers, collectors, and anyone who enjoys keeping regional company stories close at hand.

Fay's Drug began in 1958, when Henry A. Panasci Jr. and his father opened the first store in Fairmount, New York. It was named for Faye Panasci, Henry Jr.'s wife; the final e was omitted to reduce sign costs. Incorporated as Fay's Drugs Company, Inc. on October 20, 1966, the business established headquarters in Syracuse, with much of its operations in Liverpool. It went public in 1969 and entered Rochester in 1971, later acquiring the Key Drug chain there in 1979. That year it also bought the Mann and Crafts chains in North and South Carolina, but sold those stores in 1981. Fay's acquired Carls Drugs in 1991 and Peterson's 12-store Western New York chain in 1994. At its peak, the company operated more than 300 stores in New York and Northeast Pennsylvania, alongside Wheels Discount Auto Supply and The Paper Cutter. It sold those non-drug businesses in the 1990s. In 1996, JCPenney bought Fay's for $285 million in stock; New York stores kept the Fay's name, while stores elsewhere became Thrift Drug. JCPenney merged its drug operations into Eckerd in 1997. The article identifies Rite Aid as Eckerd's successor and reports that its 2025 bankruptcy proceedings included the sale of Eckerd and Fay's Drug.

Keep a stack by the phone for action items, stash a pad in your planner for weekly priorities, or place one on a conference table where everyone can jot a quick note. The adhesive holds through handling but releases cleanly when you move items around. For people who prefer minimal branding and maximum writing space, these pads help keep thoughts visible and tasks moving forward without shouting for attention.

Product features

- 50 sheets per pad with one printed side

- 75.2 gsm white uncoated paper for smooth writing

- 3M Post-it® adhesive with branded backing sheet

- Available in seven sizes; assembled in the USA

- Vibrant, crisp corner print using modern printing techniques

3" x 3"

4" x 3"

4" x 4"

Width, in

2.99

4.02

4.02

Height, in

2.87

2.87

3.86
