General Mills spun off Kenner and Parker Brothers in 1985 as Kenner Parker Toys, Inc.; Tonka acquired that business in 1987 and Kenner became a division. Hasbro acquired Tonka, including Kenner, in 1991. Kenner became known for action figures, licensed character toys, construction sets, drawing toys, collectibles and die-cast models. Hasbro closed Kenner’s Cincinnati offices and merged its product lines in 2000.
