lyons-knight-ceramic-coffee-mug
Lyons-Knight Ceramic Coffee Mug
GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.

Start the day with the story of Lyons-Knight, an Indianapolis automobile company whose cars appeared from 1913 to 1915. Its K-4 and K-6 models reflected the era's engineering experiments, using Knight sleeve-valve engines, while the company's roots reached back to Lyons-Atlas engine production. This coffee mug is suited to a desk, a reading nook, or a collector's shelf, and makes a considerate choice for someone who enjoys American automotive history and uncommon marques.

Lyons-Knight was an American automobile built in Indianapolis, Indiana, from 1913 through 1915. In 1913, brothers James W., William P., and George W. Lyons purchased Atlas Engine Works and reorganized it as the Lyons-Atlas Company. The former Atlas Company had made two-stroke gasoline and diesel engines and developed gasoline engines using the Knight sleeve-valve design. Lyons-Knight cars used Knight sleeve-valve engines and worm-drive rear axles designed by Harry A. Knox, who had previously worked at the Atlas-Knight Automobile Company in Springfield, Massachusetts. The 1913 Model K-4 had a 50-horsepower four-cylinder engine, a 130-inch wheelbase, and touring, sedan, or berline body choices for five or seven passengers. For 1914, the Model K-6 added a six-cylinder option on the same wheelbase, offered as a five- or seven-passenger touring sedan. In 1915, the K-4 was the sole model, with limousine and roadster bodies added. Automobile production ended that year, soon after Knox resigned. Lyons-Atlas continued making engines and supplied Standard marine engines for Britain during World War I.

11oz

15oz

Height, in

3.74

4.61

Diameter, in

3.15

3.43

Product features

- Microwave-safe for quick reheats

- Dishwasher-safe for easy cleanup

- Available in 11oz and 15oz sizes

- Glossy white ceramic with vibrant, long-lasting print

- Lead- and BPA-free, comfortable C-handle

Care instructions

- Clean in dishwasher or wash by hand with warm water and dish soap

EU representative: HONSON VENTURES LIMITED, gpsr@honsonventures.com, 3, Gnaftis House flat 102, Limassol, Mesa Geitonia, 4003, CY

Product information: Generic brand, two year warranty in the EU and Northern Ireland

Care instructions: Clean in dishwasher or wash by hand with warm water and dish soap
