Mars continued to add locations, including a store that replaced its Old North Point Road location at Lynch Manor on Wise Avenue. Angelo died in January 1995, and Carmen became president; after Carmen's death in August 1997, his son Vito became president. Mars operated its own Baltimore distribution center until closing it in March 2014 and changing its supply arrangements. In May 2016, the company announced that all 13 stores would close by July 31. Weis Markets acquired five locations, while Mars sought other retailers for the remaining eight.
