Its network reached from Portland toward eastern Oregon, eastern Washington, and northern Idaho, while the company’s roots connect rail service with Columbia River transportation. The route to Wallula, completed in 1882, and the system’s later place within Union Pacific history give collectors a distinctive story to share. It is a relaxed choice for railroad fans, history enthusiasts, and anyone drawn to the heritage of the Pacific Northwest.

The Oregon Railroad and Navigation Company (OR&N) was a rail and steamboat carrier formed in 1896 by consolidating several smaller railroads. Its 1,143-mile network extended from Portland, Oregon, toward northeastern Oregon, northeastern Washington, and northern Idaho. Its central predecessor, the Oregon Railway and Navigation Company, traced roots to 1860, was incorporated in Portland in 1879, and developed rail and river routes, including a Columbia River line completed to Wallula by 1882. The company acquired the Oregon Steam Navigation Company in 1880, along with other transportation interests and vessels. Union Pacific purchased a majority stake in 1898. In 1910, the system became a Union Pacific subsidiary named the Oregon–Washington Railroad and Navigation Company; that year, the Walla Walla and Columbia River Railroad was consolidated into it, and the Idaho Northern was absorbed as a branch. The Mill Creek Railroad, purchased in 1903, was later sold and merged into the Washington and Columbia River Railway. In 1936, Union Pacific formally absorbed the system, which had become its gateway to the Pacific Northwest.

Regular Can

Slim Can

Height, in

4.30

6.00

Diameter, in

3.50

3.50

Product features

- Durable 100% polyester exterior with edge-to-edge vibrant print

- Soft 100% foam liner for firm grip and insulation

- Lightweight and slim — fits regular and slim cans

- Outside white polyester with black foam interior for contrast

- Available sizes: Regular (3.5" x 4.3") and Slim (3.5" x 6'")

Care instructions

- Wipe with a damp cloth, air dry or use a soft, non-abrasive cloth
