pace-airlines-spiral-notebook
Pace Airlines Spiral Notebook
GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.

Capture plans, notes, or travel memories in a notebook inspired by Pace Airlines. Established in Winston-Salem in 1996, the carrier began with executive charters for sports teams, entertainers, and corporations, then expanded into leisure flying with Vacation Express. Its later connection to Hooters Air makes Pace a compelling subject for anyone interested in airline history, corporate change, and shifting route networks. This spiral notebook brings that distinctive charter aviation story to a collector's everyday routine.

Pace Airlines was an American charter carrier based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, with its main base at Smith Reynolds Airport. Established in January 1996 as Piedmont Aviation Svcs d/b/a Pace Airlines, it received Federal Aviation Administration and U.S. Department of Transportation approval on March 26, 1996. Its initial focus was executive charters for sports teams, entertainers, and corporations, using an all-first-class Boeing 737-200. Piedmont Aviation Services merged with Hawthorne Aviation in July 1998 to become Piedmont Hawthorne Aviation. In 2000, new president Darrell Richardson expanded operations, including a Vacation Express leisure charter contract that began flying in 2001. Pace was sold to Pace Airlines, LLC and Pace Airlines II, LLC in December 2002; later that month, Robert H. Brooks purchased it and established the Hooters Air brand. Hooters Air began service in April 2003, while Pace retained operational and maintenance activity largely in Winston-Salem and the Hooters Air offices were in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The carrier flew Boeing 737, 757, and 767 aircraft and operated charter and scheduled-charter services. Plans for Hawaii flights did not proceed, and several routes were discontinued amid rising fuel costs and competition.

One Size

Height, in

8.00

Length, in

6.00

Thickness, in

0.60

Product features

- 118 ruled pages (59 sheets) of smooth 90gsm paper for clear, bleed-resistant writing

- 350gsm front and back covers with a printed front and dark grey back for durability

- Metal spiral binding that lays flat and allows easy page removal

- Interior document pocket on back cover for storing receipts, maps, or notes

- Compact size: 6" x 8" (15.2 x 20.3 cm) — portable and ride-ready

Care instructions

- Use a soft, clean and dry cloth to gently brush any dust or dirt off from the center of book outwards.
