XPO completed its acquisition of Pacer International on March 31, 2014; the deal made XPO the third-largest North American intermodal provider and the largest provider of cross-border Mexico intermodal. Former Pacer operations were later integrated into XPO's service offering. XPO sold the business to STG Logistics in 2022.
