In 1997, the chain ended rentals and concentrated on game trading. Expansion accelerated from 2000, when Rhino opened its first store outside Florida, in Hinesville, Georgia. The company established Gainesville corporate offices in 2001 and a neighboring distribution center in 2002; by 2003 it operated 35 stores. On May 17, 2004, Blockbuster acquired Rhino’s assets. Vorce and his team continued managing daily operations. Rhino then had 54 stores in nine states and more than 400 employees.
