st-louis-brownsville-and-mexico-railway-passport-cover
St. Louis, Brownsville and Mexico Railway Passport Cover
GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.

Celebrate a railway whose story crossed borders as well as southern Texas routes. The Brownie operated a bridge between Brownsville and Matamoros and connected its home city with Houston by rail. Chartered in 1903, the St. Louis, Brownsville and Mexico Railway expanded through construction and acquisitions before becoming part of the Gulf Coast Lines and later Missouri Pacific. This passport cover brings that regional transportation history into your travel routine and suits railroad enthusiasts with an interest in Texas and cross-border connections.

Chartered on June 6, 1903, the St. Louis, Brownsville and Mexico Railway, known as the Brownie, connected Brownsville with Gulf Coast Junction in Houston across roughly 200 miles of southern Texas. Its first completed track reached Brownsville from Robstown on July 4, 1904; a further major line to Houston was completed on December 31, 1907. The railway also operated a bridge between Brownsville and Matamoros, Tamaulipas, and helped connect Brownsville to Corpus Christi by land. It expanded through acquisitions that included the San Antonio, Chapin and Rio Grande Railway and the San Benito and Rio Grande Valley Railway. The Brownie formed part of the Gulf Coast Lines, whose ownership passed to the New Orleans, Texas and Mexico Railway in 1916. The Missouri Pacific acquired the Gulf Coast Lines in December 1924. After years under trusteeship, the Brownie and other Gulf Coast Lines subsidiaries merged into Missouri Pacific on March 1, 1956. The railway's name and the Gulf Coast Lines identity soon disappeared as branch and feeder routes were abandoned.

3.9" x 5.8"

Height, in

5.79

Width (Closed), in

3.94

Width (Open), in

8.03

Depth, in

0.39

Product features

- Two card slots plus pockets for boarding passes or IDs

- Cruelty-free black PU faux leather exterior

- RFID-blocking lining to protect against skimming

- One-size fits most passports (3.9″ × 5.8″)

- Vibrant front-cover print with potential edge fading on darker solids

Care instructions

- Wipe with a damp cloth, air dry or use a soft, non-abrasive cloth

EU representative: HONSON VENTURES LIMITED, gpsr@honsonventures.com, 3, Gnaftis House flat 102, Limassol, Mesa Geitonia, 4003, CY

Product information: Generic brand, two year warranty in the EU and Northern Ireland

Care instructions: Wipe with a damp cloth, air dry or use a soft, non-abrasive cloth
