Its programming combined classic sitcoms, films and religious shows. WBNX carried Fox Kids from 1994, joined The WB in 1997 and became a CW affiliate in 2006. The CW moved to WUAB in July 2018. Nexstar Media Group completed its purchase of WBNX in February 2025, after acquiring WJW in 2019; WBNX then reclaimed The CW affiliation and began airing WJW-produced local news.
