The airline was headquartered at McChesney Field in San Luis Obispo County, California. In 1996, Mary B. Jordan was named president. In 1998, Wings West merged with Simmons Airlines and Flagship Airlines into AMR Eagle Holdings Corporation, forming American Eagle Airlines, now known as Envoy
