National Florida Airlines

Ghost Corp Apparel — resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.

National Florida Airlines, Inc. began operations from the Daytona Beach area in December 1981, linking central and south Florida on short-haul commuter routes. Its documented principal corporate address was 661 Beville Road, Suite 201, in South Daytona, Florida, amid the deregulation-era rush.

By 1982, the network had grown beyond initial Daytona Beach–Miami, Orlando, and Tampa service to include Fort Lauderdale and Fort Walton Beach. Aviation records identify the carrier with the NFA designator and VOYAGER callsign. Timetables issued through August 1983 capture an airline making a very specific promise: Florida, stitched together by turboprops rather than optimism alone. Its fleet included Twin Otters, a Metroliner, and a Piper Navajo.

Our National Florida Airlines collection celebrates a Daytona-area commuter line that put Miami, Orlando, Tampa, Fort Lauderdale, and Fort Walton Beach on its map. Business gravity won quickly: the airline entered Chapter 7 and ceased operations on December 2, 1983; Florida later recorded the corporation as involuntarily dissolved on November 21, 1984. No grand merger, no long goodbye—just one compact carrier disappearing from the timetable rack.
