Oceanic Airlines
Ghost Corp Apparel — resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.
Oceanic Airlines is not a historical airline, but one of screen fiction’s most durable airborne aliases. The name first appeared in the 1965 Flipper two-parter “The Ditching,” then resurfaced in the 1996 film Executive Decision. Footage made for that production traveled almost as widely as the airline was supposed to.
Its defining incarnation arrived with ABC’s Lost, which ran from 2004 to 2010. Oceanic Flight 815, traveling from Sydney toward Los Angeles, became the show’s opening catastrophe and turned the airline’s eye-like emblem, tickets, check-in counters, and cabin ephemera into instant early-2000s television archaeology. ABC extended the fiction through web material and the 2007–2008 Find 815 alternate-reality game, including an in-story announcement that the airline would resume flying.
Our Oceanic Airlines collection celebrates the fictional flag carrier that never had a real fleet, corporate headquarters, or balance sheet—just a suspiciously long trail of disaster-movie cameos and one famously consequential flight. Board with confidence; the destination is probably character development.
