It operated ad hoc charter, air taxi, cargo and medical flights, along with VIP helicopter flights and air ambulance services. Brussels Airport served as its main base, with other locations in Antwerp, Kortrijk-Wevelgem, Paris-Le Bourget and Eindhoven. The company absorbed Lamda Jet in 1995 and merged with Sky Service in 2005. In May 2010, it received the European Business Aviation Association's Gold Safety Flight Award, recognizing more than 40 years of safe flights around the world. Abelag inaugurated its Business Aviation Terminal at Brussels Airport in 2012. In 2013, Luxaviation Belgium took over the company. From 2016, the Abelag brand name was replaced by the Luxaviation Belgium trading name, while the company's social seats in Brussels and Kortrijk-Wevelgem continued under the Abelag name. Abelag Aviation was wholly owned by Abelag Aviation Group. Its listed fleet included Cessna Citation, Bombardier Challenger and Global, and Dassault Falcon aircraft.
