GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.
Add a note of Belgian industrial history to your everyday setup with a foldable mobile phone display stand inspired by Fabrique d'armes Émile et Léon Nagant. Founded in Liège in 1859, the company developed from a repair business into a maker associated with licensed rifle production, the Nagant revolver, and early automobile manufacturing. Its story spans changing names, family leadership, and generations of engineering work. A distinctive desk accessory for collectors and fans of historic companies.
Founded in Liège, Belgium, in 1859 by brothers Émile and Léon Nagant, the firm began as an industrial repair business that included work on damaged firearms. In 1867 it entered firearms production under license, making 5,000 Remington Rolling Block rifles for the Papal Zouaves. The brothers later adapted the rolling-block design for double-barreled shotguns sold as Remington-Nagant. Émile contributed to the design of the Mosin–Nagant Russian service rifle, adopted in 1891; Léon designed the Nagant M1895 revolver, adopted as a standard-issue sidearm in 1895. In 1896, Émile retired because of progressive blindness, and the firm became L. Nagant & Cie, Liège, with Léon joined by his sons Charles and Maurice. The company also built cars under license from Gobron-Brillies and later Rochet-Schneider. Nagant cars were made from 1900 to 1928, with overhead-valve engines appearing after World War I and production reaching about 200 cars annually. The firm was liquidated in 1928, and its arms line was sold to Fabryka Broni Radom. FN Herstal bought the industrial buildings in 1929 and later sold them to the Belgian army. Impéria Automobiles purchased the firm in 1931.
