Keep cards close with a tribute to Juniper Networks, founded in California in February 1996 to pursue internet-optimized routing. The company’s M40 core router found a role with telecommunications providers, and its 1999 NASDAQ debut marked a major step in its growth. Juniper later expanded into security and software-defined networking before HPE completed its acquisition in 2025. This business card holder suits collectors drawn to the people, milestones and changing technologies behind the Juniper company era.

Juniper Networks was founded in February 1996 in California by Pradeep Sindhu, who had conceived the idea for internet-optimized routers the previous year. Scott Kriens became its first CEO about seven months later, while Sindhu served as chief technology officer. After venture and industry funding, the company went public on NASDAQ in June 1999. Its first product, the M40 core router, was used by telecommunications companies, and the company moved its headquarters from Mountain View to Sunnyvale in 2000. Juniper expanded beyond core routing through the 2000 purchase of Pacific Broadband and the 2002 acquisition of Unisphere Networks, entering cable and edge-router markets. It entered security with its JProtect toolkit in 2003 and acquired NetScreen Technologies in 2004. CEO transitions included Kevin Johnson in 2008, Shaygan Kheradpir in 2014 and Rami Rahim later that year. From 2014, the company emphasized software-defined networking. Hewlett Packard Enterprise agreed to acquire Juniper in January 2024; the deal closed July 2, 2025. Juniper was absorbed into HPE Networking, and its former products continued under the HPE Juniper Networking brand.
