GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.
Give young listeners a way to connect with the independent label history behind One Day Savior Recordings. Founded in 1997 in Williston Park, the label supported music across hardcore, metalcore, post-hardcore, emo, and indie rock, while keeping a distinct identity from founder Christopher Tzompanakis’s band, Skycamefalling. Its story includes a 2002 festival in Farmingdale, a later relocation to Philadelphia, and a final closure in 2014. A considered pick for families who share their love of independent music and the scenes of the 2000s.
One Day Savior Recordings was an American independent record label founded in 1997 by Christopher Tzompanakis, vocalist for Skycamefalling. After hearing complaints from friends' bands about local labels, he decided to start a label of his own, while keeping it separate from his band. Based first in Williston Park on Long Island, New York, One Day Savior became prominent in hardcore and indie rock circles, releasing metalcore, post-hardcore, and emo. Its artists included Boys Night Out, Hopesfall, The Juliana Theory, The Movielife, The Killing Tree, and Skycamefalling. The label was distributed by Lumberjack Mordam Music Group and sometimes co-released albums with other independent labels. Tzompanakis also organized One Day Savior Fest, held October 19, 2002, in Farmingdale, New York. The label entered a hiatus in 2008. On July 31, 2010, its website announced its sale to Tommy Melissen and a move to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The label operated under Melissen for about two years, then was officially put to rest in 2014 after two years of inactivity. It was also known as One Day Savior Record Company, One Day Savior Records, and OneDaySavior.
