Give your screen a small nod to a memorable chapter of charter aviation with this Orange Air Foldable Mobile Phone Display Stand. The airline began service in 2014 at Orlando Sanford and later operated sports charters and a public charter route for Branson Air Express. That service briefly connected Cincinnati, Branson, New Orleans, and Cancún before parts of the route changed operators. For airline-history enthusiasts, collectors, and travelers, Orange Air recalls how quickly a carrier can leave a mark on a route map.
Orange Air, LLC was an American charter airline that began service in 2014. Based at Orlando Sanford International Airport, it was also headquartered on the airport grounds during its brief operation. The airline began operating sports charters in late 2014, then launched its first public charter service in May 2015 for Branson Air Express. That service followed a Cincinnati, Branson, New Orleans, and Cancún routing. On October 5, 2015, the Cincinnati leg ended, and the Branson-to-New Orleans-to-Cancún portion was transferred to Elite Airways. On October 15, Orange announced plans to add Boeing 737-800 aircraft to begin replacing its MD-80 fleet and increase seating capacity. The number of planned aircraft was not disclosed, and Orange Air never took delivery of any 737s. The airline operated as many as five MD-80 aircraft at one point, but those planes were returned to their original owners. Orange Air laid off most of its staff in August 2016 and returned its operating certificate to the FAA in April 2017, marking the end of its operating history.
