GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.
Celebrate the routes and communities behind PenAir with this car magnet. Founded in Pilot Point in 1955, Peninsula Airways grew from early bush flying into scheduled regional service across Alaska and the Aleutian Islands, later reaching destinations beyond the state. That history makes PenAir a distinctive name for collectors of airline memorabilia and fans of Alaska aviation. Add this keepsake to a vehicle or collection as a tribute to the connections regional airlines made possible.
Founded in 1955 by Orin Seybert in Pilot Point, Alaska, Peninsula Airways began with a two-seat Taylorcraft. The company incorporated in 1965 and acquired a fixed-base operation in King Salmon. In 1967 it became a subcontractor to Reeve Aleutian Airways, later expanding service across the Alaska Peninsula and Aleutian Islands. PenAir added bases and scheduled routes through acquisitions, including Air Transport Services in Kodiak in 1985, and began Anchorage service to King Salmon and Dillingham in 1986. It adopted the PenAir name in 1991 and entered a code-sharing and Mileage Plan partnership with Alaska Airlines. Its network later reached the northeastern United States, then expanded to routes in the Midwest and West. PenAir filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2017 and ended direct ticket sales under its own brand on June 1, 2019, when flights were marketed using Ravn Alaska flight numbers. Its parent, RavnAir Group, suspended operations and filed for bankruptcy in 2020; PenAir ceased operations.
