GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.
WestAir Commuter Airlines connected its California roots to the wider western United States, first as a commuter carrier and later as a United Express operator. Its path from Stol Air Commuter through several name changes, a merger with North Pacific Airlines, and acquisition by Mesa Air Group captures decades of regional airline change. This foldable phone display stand brings that story to your desk or travel space, making a useful everyday accessory for aviation enthusiasts and WestAir memorabilia collectors.
WestAir Commuter Airlines was a U.S. regional carrier whose roots lay in Stol Air Commuter, based in San Rafael, California, with administrative offices in Santa Rosa. Stol Air Commuter changed its name to WestAir Airlines in 1978, and the company adopted the WestAir Commuter Airlines name in 1986. After the 1978 transition, WestAir Group acquired Redding-based Golden Eagle Airlines. WestAir became one of the first two regional carriers operating as United Express under a code-sharing agreement with United Airlines on May 1, 1985. Headquartered in Fresno and controlled by WestAir Holding, the airline expanded its fleet from small commuter aircraft to turboprops and, from 1988, BAe 146-200 regional jets. North Pacific Airlines, another WestAir Holding carrier operating as United Express, merged into WestAir in 1991. Mesa Air Group acquired WestAir in May 1992. United later ended its United Express contract with WestAir, and on April 23, 1998, SkyWest Airlines replaced it as United's west coast regional United Express carrier. WestAir's Brasilias passed to Utah-based SkyWest, while many of its Jetstream 31s were stored in Kingman, Arizona.
