One Day Savior Recordings
Ghost Corp Apparel — resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.
Founded in 1997 by Skycamefalling vocalist Christopher Tzompanakis, One Day Savior Recordings emerged from Williston Park on Long Island, New York. It was a small independent label with a decidedly hands-on ethic: early releases included limited 7-inch records, while its catalog grew through hardcore, metalcore, post-hardcore, emo, and indie-rock circles.
The ODS catalog connected artists including The Movielife, Hopesfall, Boys Night Out, Remembering Never, The Sleeping, Paulson, Embodyment, The Juliana Theory, and Tabula Rasa. Lumberjack handled exclusive distribution by 2001, giving this stubborn little operation a route beyond mail-order envelopes, hand-stamped packaging, and the eternal basement-show economy.
One Day Savior also staged One Day Savior Fest in Farmingdale, New York, on October 19, 2002. The label remained based in Williston Park until its 2008 hiatus. In July 2010, Tommy Melissen took ownership and moved operations to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, presenting a short-lived revival with new artists and reissues. The label was inactive after roughly 2012 and is generally documented as defunct in 2014.
Our One Day Savior Recordings collection celebrates the DIY label that made the humble catalog number feel like a battle flag: vinyl colors, scene loyalty, heartfelt noise, and just enough financial peril to make every release legendary.
