Westinghouse
Ghost Corp Apparel — resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.
Founded by George Westinghouse in Pittsburgh in 1886, Westinghouse Electric helped wire America, battled Edison in the War of the Currents, and became a powerhouse in everything from turbines and nuclear energy to refrigerators and televisions. Then corporate history took a wonderfully bizarre turn: Westinghouse bought CBS in 1995, shed its industrial businesses, and renamed itself CBS Corporation in 1997.
More than a century of electrical engineering, heavy industry and household appliances — only to end up as a television network. Corporate evolution is weird.
