In 2010, competing acquisition bids from Dell and HP culminated in HP completing its acquisition of 3PAR on September 27 for $2.35 billion. 3PAR became a wholly owned HP subsidiary. In 2015, HP's enterprise assets, including 3PAR, were spun off into Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where the 3PAR name continued in storage product lines.
