After opening a research and development office in Belfast, Northern Ireland, in 2007, 3PAR completed an initial public offering and listed on NYSE Arca. It moved to the NYSE Big Board in December 2008 and opened an Indian subsidiary in Bangalore the following year. In 2010, competing acquisition bids from Dell and HP culminated in HP completing its acquisition of 3PAR on September 27 for $2.35 billion. 3PAR became a wholly owned HP subsidiary. In 2015, HP's enterprise assets, including 3PAR, were spun off into Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where the 3PAR name continued in storage product lines.
