Acme offered touring cars, runabouts, delivery vehicles, and other body styles, and later promoted racing and endurance events. In May 1911 its Reading site and plant were sold to J. H. Sternbergh, who sold the company to a New York consortium. The company name then changed to SGV. Acme also acquired parts from Lancia for SGV cars, including an engine and four-speed transmission.
