Product Details & Size Guide
GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.
Founded in 1985, Actel Corporation grew from a Mountain View specialist into a company with a wide-ranging FPGA portfolio. This double-sided keychain charm offers a compact way to keep that corporate and engineering history close, from anti-fuse devices serving aerospace and military applications to flash-based products, Fusion mixed-signal technology, and SmartFusion. Actel’s milestones and later corporate transitions make this a fitting keepsake for semiconductor collectors, former colleagues, and anyone interested in the evolution of programmable logic.
Actel Corporation was founded in 1985 and became known for nonvolatile, low-power field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), particularly anti-fuse devices serving military and aerospace markets. Headquartered in Mountain View, California, the company also maintained offices worldwide. In 2000, Actel acquired GateField, broadening its anti-fuse FPGA offering to include flash-based devices. Its product history included ProASICPLUS, which reached a reported one-millionth shipment in 2004, followed by Fusion mixed-signal technology in 2005. In 2006, Actel introduced the low-power IGLOO family; IGLOO PLUS, IGLOO nano, and a nano ProASIC3 version followed in 2008. The company introduced SmartFusion in 2010, combining analogue components and programmable flash-based logic with a hard ARM processor core. Actel's portfolio also included anti-fuse and flash FPGA families, as well as devices for automotive, military, aerospace, and space applications. Microsemi acquired Actel in November 2010 for $430 million. Microchip Technology acquired Microsemi in May 2018, marking a later corporate transition for Actel's business.
