The Ada Air Heavy Knit Quarter-Zip Sweatshirt celebrates the regional airline that linked Tirana and Bari at the start of Albania’s new aviation era. Ada Air began operations in February 1992, expanded its presence through charter flying and regional service, and remained active until 2007. This layer is for those who collect aviation history beyond the major names, with a focus on Balkan networks, former carriers, and the personal stories behind European air travel.
Ada Air Sh.p.k was a regional airline based in Tirana, Albania, operating from 1991 to 2007. Founded by Julien Roche, vice-president, and Marsel Skendo, president, the company began operations on February 3, 1992. Two days later it launched scheduled flights between Tirana and Bari, Italy, and it joined IATA on May 25, 1992. Its main base was Tirana International Airport Nene Tereza. Beyond its Bari scheduled route, Ada Air operated flights serving Greece, Italy, Kosovo, and the Republic of Macedonia, along with charter services across the Balkans and Europe. The airline also performed overnight freight work for DHL. In March 2007, its listed international scheduled service connected Tirana and Bari. The fleet recorded in March 2009 included an Embraer EMB 110P2 Bandeirante; earlier aircraft included a leased Fokker 100 operated with Montenegrin crews and a Yakovlev Yak-40. Ada Air is identified as a defunct Albanian airline.
