Product Details & Size Guide
GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.
Keep business cards close with a piece inspired by Adesto Technologies, the specialist company founded in Santa Clara in 2006. Adesto developed memory products, application-specific circuits, and embedded systems for equipment makers, then broadened its work through additions in semiconductor design and automation. Its 2015 public offering and 2020 acquisition mark notable milestones in connected-device history. This Metal Business Card Holder suits collectors and technology professionals who value the stories behind the companies that helped shape embedded computing.
Adesto Technologies Corporation was founded in 2006 by Narbeh Derhacobian, Shane Hollmer, and Ishai Naveh, and was based in Santa Clara, California. The company developed application-specific integrated circuits and embedded systems for the Internet of Things, selling to equipment manufacturers. Its early work included non-volatile memory using copper-ion movement in programmable metallization cell technology licensed from Axon Technologies, a spinoff of Arizona State University. In October 2010, Adesto acquired intellectual property and patents for Conductive Bridging Random Access Memory technology from Qimonda AG; its first product using that technology entered production in 2011. Adesto went public in 2015 under the symbol IOTS. In 2018, it acquired S3 Semiconductors, a provider of analog and mixed-signal ASICs and IP cores, and Echelon Corporation, which worked in home and industrial automation. These acquisitions broadened its offerings beyond memory products. Adesto also began a research cooperation with the University of California San Diego in 2018 to explore computing directly in memory. Dialog Semiconductor acquired Adesto in 2020 for $500 million, ending its run as an independent corporation.
