GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.
Share an interest in aviation history with a little one through an Aerodynamics-inspired infant bodysuit. The Georgia charter carrier’s scheduled chapter began in 2016, when it adopted the Great Lakes Jet Express name and flew regional routes connecting communities such as Youngstown, Chicago, Pierre, and Watertown. California Pacific Airlines acquired Aerodynamics in 2018, creating another turn in the company’s brief route story. This piece offers airline-minded families a gentle way to introduce a memorable name from regional aviation.
Aerodynamics Inc., also known as ADI, was an American charter airline based in Kennesaw, Georgia. Its website claimed the company was founded in 1959. After filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization in August 2013, it emerged with financing and restructuring support from Business Aircraft Group CEO M.L. (Mike) Hoyle, who later divested his interest. John and Janet Beardsley purchased ADI in 2015. In 2016, the airline began scheduled Essential Air Service flights under the Great Lakes Jet Express name and a codeshare agreement with Great Lakes Airlines. Its first scheduled route linked Youngstown, Ohio, and Chicago on July 1, but service ended August 17. Flights between Denver and Pierre, South Dakota, continuing to Watertown, began August 15, 2016. Great Lakes Airlines suspended operations in March 2018, while some ADI flights continued. California Pacific Airlines purchased ADI on May 29, 2018, including four aircraft and the Pierre and Watertown contract. The airline briefly operated those routes as California Pacific before the company suspended West Coast operations in December 2018 and its Essential Air Service operations in January 2019. ADI operated Embraer ERJ-145 regional jets with 50 seats.
