Carry a reminder of Afghan Jet International Airlines, the regional carrier headquartered in Kabul and based at Hamid Karzai International Airport. Its domestic network served five airports within Afghanistan, with destinations recorded in August 2014. Operations ended on June 15, 2016, while its sole aircraft remained at Maastricht Aachen Airport and was auctioned in 2025 to cover storage costs. This tough phone case connects an everyday essential with a distinctive chapter in Afghan aviation history.
Afghan Jet International Airlines was a regional airline based in Afghanistan, with its headquarters in Kabul and its operating base at Hamid Karzai International Airport. The airline served five airports, all within Afghanistan. The supplied historical record notes its destinations as of August 2014 but does not name them. By August 2016, its fleet consisted of a single aircraft. That aircraft was at Maastricht Aachen Airport for maintenance when the airline ceased operations on June 15, 2016. It remained parked there after the airline closed, and in 2025 it was auctioned to cover storage costs. The available account identifies no predecessor, merger, or successor airline, so Afghan Jet International is best understood through its own brief operating history: an Afghanistan-based regional carrier, its Kabul headquarters and airport base, its domestic service, and the later disposition of its sole aircraft. These details trace a company whose airline operations ended in 2016 while its aircraft remained part of a separate airport-storage story for years afterward.
