Raise a glass to Air Anglia Limited, the Norwich-based regional airline that grew from three East of England air taxi operators into a scheduled carrier. Founded in 1970, it connected communities and supported North Sea industry before adding Fokker Friendship turboprops and, later, Fokker Fellowship jets. This pint glass celebrates a distinctive chapter of British aviation, from Norwich beginnings to routes across Britain and Europe, and the 1980 merger that formed Air UK. A thoughtful choice for aviation enthusiasts and collectors.
Air Anglia Limited was a privately owned British regional airline formed at Norwich Airport on July 22, 1970, through the merger of Anglian Air Charter, Norfolk Airways and Rig Air, three East of England air taxi operators. Norwich became its headquarters and main operating and engineering base, with Norwich Union as controlling shareholder at formation. Operations began in August 1970, initially including oil and gas industry support flights from Norwich, Aberdeen and Humberside. The airline developed scheduled services from 1971 and added Fokker F-27 Friendship turboprops in 1972, supporting year-round routes around Britain and to Amsterdam. Its network later included services to destinations such as Paris, Stavanger and Bergen. In 1979 it introduced Fokker F-28 Fellowship jetliners on scheduled routes. In January 1980, Air Anglia merged with British Island Airways, Air Wales and Air Westward to form Air UK. The merger combined Air Anglia’s eastern regional routes with services across the western part of the British Isles, and enabled Norwich Union to sell its shareholding to British and Commonwealth, the parent of British Island Airways.

A sturdy 16oz pint glass that brings a little roadhouse spirit to everyday pours. The clear tempered glass showcases whatever you fill it with — amber beer, cold brew, or fresh juice — while a bold vintage-inspired script wraps the side for a subtle, nostalgic touch. It feels solid in the hand, resists everyday wear, and pairs easily with bar carts, kitchen counters, or a laid-back backyard table. Wash gently by hand to keep the lettering sharp and the glass crystal-clear. Built from tempered materials and assembled in the USA, this glass fits into evenings spent swapping stories, weekend morning routines, or those slow, quiet moments when a simple drink matters.
