GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.
Take a piece of regional aviation history along on your travels with this Air Antwerp passport cover. The airline connected Antwerp with London City after launching its first flight in September 2019, building its identity around Antwerp International Airport and a single aircraft. Its short history, ownership links to CityJet and KLM, and 2021 closure make it a meaningful keepsake for travelers who collect stories of distinctive European carriers.
Air Antwerp was a short-lived Belgian regional airline headquartered at Antwerp International Airport in Deurne. Its application for an air operator's certificate was secured in 2019 by the Transport and Mobility department, and on 9 August the airline confirmed it had received its flight and operating permits. Owned by CityJet (75%) and KLM (25%), Air Antwerp operated its first flight to London City Airport on 9 September 2019. A few former VLM Airlines employees helped with its preparations, and the airline's first aircraft, previously part of the VLM Airlines fleet, was presented to the public on 27 July 2019. In October 2019, Air Antwerp joined the European Regions Airline Association. It had a codeshare agreement with KLM. In May 2021, CityJet transferred all its shares to KLM. Air Antwerp also announced that it was placing its sole aircraft in storage, with no near-term plans to resume its scheduled route. In June 2021, the airline announced that it would cease operations altogether.
