Raise a glass to Air Atlanta, the independent airline that connected its Atlanta hub with cities across the eastern United States in the 1980s. Its first scheduled flight carried passengers from Atlanta to Memphis aboard a Boeing 727-100 on February 1, 1984. Air Atlanta later linked travelers with Miami, New York, and other destinations, while also feeding passengers to Pan American World Airways flights. This pint glass brings a piece of that brief, distinctive chapter in commercial aviation history to a home bar or collection.

Air Atlanta was an independent airline based in Atlanta, Georgia, serving more than a dozen cities during the mid-1980s. Attorneys Michael Hollis and Daniel Kolber started the company in February 1984, and its first scheduled flight, from Atlanta to Memphis, operated on February 1 aboard a Boeing 727-100. By April, the airline flew nonstop between Atlanta and Memphis, Miami, and New York JFK; service to New York LaGuardia followed by July 1985. Its network later included destinations such as Detroit, Fort Myers, Greenbrier/Lewisburg, New Orleans, Orlando, Philadelphia, Tampa, and Washington National. Atlanta was its hub, and most flights connected there. Air Atlanta also fed passengers to and from Pan American World Airways flights under the name Air Atlanta Pan Am Express. The airline began with an all-first-class cabin, serving meals on white linen with fine china and crystal at coach fares, then introduced two-class seating on its 727s. Its fleet grew from five 727-100s to include five 727-200s. After carrying three million passengers, Air Atlanta filed for bankruptcy and ceased operations on April 2, 1987. KLM offered to invest $10 million if existing investors matched the amount, but they declined. The article reports that Air Atlanta had a perfect safety record and used zero-coupon convertible notes to finance operations.

A sturdy 16oz pint glass that brings a little roadhouse spirit to everyday pours. The clear tempered glass showcases whatever you fill it with — amber beer, cold brew, or fresh juice — while a bold vintage-inspired script wraps the side for a subtle, nostalgic touch. It feels solid in the hand, resists everyday wear, and pairs easily with bar carts, kitchen counters, or a laid-back backyard table. Wash gently by hand to keep the lettering sharp and the glass crystal-clear. Built from tempered materials and assembled in the USA, this glass fits into evenings spent swapping stories, weekend morning routines, or those slow, quiet moments when a simple drink matters.
