Add an aviation-history subject to a desk used for work, study, or planning the next journey. Air Atlanta Europe links a UK-based airline founded in 2002, which ceased operations in 2008, with a Malta-based operation re-established in 2021. Its charter and ACMI services carry forward the Air Atlanta brand, alongside a connection to Air Atlanta Icelandic. For airline enthusiasts and collectors, this mouse pad offers a daily reminder of a company shaped by continuity and change.
Air Atlanta Europe operates from Malta as a charter airline and sister company of Air Atlanta Icelandic, with both companies operating under the Air Atlanta brand. The current Maltese-based airline was re-established in 2021, building on the brand’s earlier European operation. That original airline was founded in 2002 as a UK-based company under the same ownership as Air Atlanta Icelandic. It primarily operated widebody passenger aircraft and ceased operations in 2008. The re-established airline focuses on ACMI services, which combine aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance, as well as charter operations for global customers. In October 2025, it welcomed its first Boeing 777 cargo aircraft. The supplied article lists a former fleet as of August 2025 of three Boeing 737-400BDSF, three Boeing 747-400F, two Boeing 777-200ER and two Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. Its history links a UK-based airline established in 2002 with a Malta-based operation relaunched in 2021, while continuing the Air Atlanta brand and its relationship with Air Atlanta Icelandic.
