The airline received its Belgian air operator's certificate in March 2018 and began scheduled passenger service between Charleroi and Hong Kong on 3 June 2018. Before that launch, it operated a revenue flight for Surinam Airways from Amsterdam to Paramaribo. It also provided an aircraft to Air France for service between Paris and Libreville during the 2018 summer season. After suspending its Hong Kong route that autumn, the company focused on charter operations and announced plans for further routes. In 2021, it began cargo flying from Liège for CMA CGM and added plans for passenger service from Brussels to Mauritius. Following financial losses and route cuts, Air Belgium announced in September 2023 that scheduled passenger flights would end on 3 October, with aircraft used for other airlines under ACMI arrangements. Cargo and ACMI operations continued. On 30 April 2025, the Walloon Brabant commercial court declared Air Belgium bankrupt, while CMA CGM took over its cargo activities and 124 jobs. CMA CGM said the Air Belgium brand would remain separate.

- Use warm water, dish soap and clean spots off your sleeve. It's not necessary to soak the whole sleeve. For hard to clean spots use a soft bristled brush.
