Product Details & Size Guide

GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.

Celebrate a compact chapter of Southern aviation with this Air New Orleans cuffed beanie. The airline began in Panama City in 1981, later moved its headquarters to Birmingham, and connected smaller markets through New Orleans under the Continental Express name. Its network and turboprop service reflect the busy regional airline era of the 1980s. For aviation fans, airline-history collectors, or anyone drawn to the stories behind brief-lived carriers, this beanie brings that distinctive history into everyday wear.

Air New Orleans was founded in 1981 in Panama City, Florida, as a commuter airline intended to provide scheduled passenger service across the southeastern United States, from Texas to Florida. Despite its name, its original headquarters were in Panama City, with some executive offices in New Orleans. In 1986, the airline moved its headquarters to Birmingham, Alabama. That June, it operated as a Continental Express carrier under a code-sharing agreement with Continental Airlines, connecting passengers through New Orleans. Its commuter turboprop fleet included BAe Jetstream 31 and Beechcraft C99 aircraft. By early 1987, Continental Express service linked New Orleans with Birmingham and cities including Gulfport, Fort Walton Beach, Jacksonville, Mobile, Orlando, Panama City, Pensacola, and Tallahassee. In January 1988, the airline filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, then ceased operations on June 17, 1988. Its brief history reflects the regional commuter-airline model of the 1980s, connecting smaller Southern markets with larger airline networks.

This cuffed beanie carries a lived-in street energy—soft, warm, and quietly bold. The low-profile embroidery sits on the cuff like a personal insignia: a small, slightly distressed logo with a touch of red that reads as both vintage and current. It slips on easily and stays put through commutes, late-night walks, and chilly market runs, adding a subtle graphic edge without shouting.

Wear it with a worn denim jacket, layered knit, or an oversized coat. It works for creatives who like to curate a look that’s casual but considered, for city cyclists who need dependable warmth, or for anyone who favors compact, tactile details. The hypoallergenic acrylic knit keeps things comfortable against the skin while the 12" cuff gives you styling flexibility—fold it high for warmth or roll it low for a slouchier silhouette. This is a small, everyday piece that quietly completes an outfit and ages into its own personality.
