GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.
Keep business cards close with an Air Oregon Metal Business Card Holder that nods to a memorable chapter in regional aviation. Air Oregon grew from Portland's Executive Flight Services, founded in 1961, and took its airline name in 1977. From its Portland hub, it served smaller cities across Oregon and routes reaching Seattle and northern California. The company's mix of Fokker F27 Friendship turboprops and Metroliners captures the variety of aircraft that shaped regional passenger service. A distinctive desk accessory for airline-history enthusiasts.
Air Oregon began in Portland, Oregon, in 1961 as Executive Flight Services. The company adopted the Air Oregon name in 1977 and operated scheduled passenger flights across the Pacific Northwest and northern California, with service also reaching Boise, Idaho, and Reno, Nevada. Portland served as its hub and headquarters. A June 1981 timetable listed destinations including Eugene, Medford, Salem, Pendleton, North Bend, Seattle, San Francisco, Sacramento, and several other regional cities. The airline flew Fokker F27 Friendship turboprops and Fairchild Swearingen Metroliners, with the larger F27 and smaller Metroliner both serving selected routes. Its fleet during its existence also included Beechcraft Bonanza, de Havilland Canada Dash 7, Piper Navajo Chieftain, and Piper Seneca aircraft. Air Oregon’s earlier network included additional Oregon communities and service to Seattle Boeing Field. In June 1982, Horizon Air acquired Air Oregon and merged it into the company. Horizon Air is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Alaska Air Group, the corporate parent of Alaska Airlines. Air Oregon’s history therefore spans its evolution from a Portland flight-services business into a regional airline and its transition into a larger regional carrier.
