GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.

Raise a glass to the Akron, Canton and Youngstown Railroad, an Ohio line whose history grew from a short Akron-area route into a 171-mile freight system. The railway began in 1907, reached Akron from Mogadore in 1912, and joined with the Northern Ohio Railway in 1944. Its ambitious name promised more than its rails delivered: it never served Canton or Youngstown. This pint glass brings that distinctive chapter of Ohio rail history to relaxed evenings, gatherings, and collections inspired by the rails.

The Akron, Canton and Youngstown Railroad began in 1907 as the Akron, Canton and Youngstown Railway. In 1912 it completed a 9.5-mile line from Mogadore to Akron, Ohio. Effective March 1, 1920, it leased the Northern Ohio Railway, whose Akron-to-Delphos line had been part of the New York Central system through the Lake Erie and Western Railroad. The two railways merged on January 14, 1944, forming the Akron, Canton and Youngstown Railroad. The combined system ran 171 miles from Delphos to Akron. Despite its name, the railroad never served Canton or Youngstown. Primarily a freight carrier, it also operated motorcars from 1920 to 1922 and later ran mixed passenger trains between Akron and Delphos; the last ended July 20, 1951. The Norfolk and Western Railway acquired control on October 16, 1964, but the ACY operated separately until its January 1, 1982, merger. In 1990, the successor company spun off the former ACY to the new Wheeling and Lake Erie Railway. The segment from Mogadore to Carey remains in service.

A sturdy 16oz pint glass that brings a little roadhouse spirit to everyday pours. The clear tempered glass showcases whatever you fill it with — amber beer, cold brew, or fresh juice — while a bold vintage-inspired script wraps the side for a subtle, nostalgic touch. It feels solid in the hand, resists everyday wear, and pairs easily with bar carts, kitchen counters, or a laid-back backyard table. Wash gently by hand to keep the lettering sharp and the glass crystal-clear. Built from tempered materials and assembled in the USA, this glass fits into evenings spent swapping stories, weekend morning routines, or those slow, quiet moments when a simple drink matters.
