Allied Air is a cargo airline based in Lagos, Nigeria, established in 1998. It operates scheduled and charter services in Nigeria and across Africa, with its main base at Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos. In 2007, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority required airlines operating in the country to recapitalize by April 30 or face grounding; Allied Air recapitalized successfully and was registered for operation. Its scheduled destinations include Accra, Freetown, Monrovia, Entebbe and Malabo, and it also serves Liege regularly. The airline formerly operated Boeing 727-200F freighters. On June 2, 2012, Flight 111 overshot the runway at Kotoka International Airport in Accra after flying from Lagos; the aircraft crossed the airport boundary and struck a minivan, killing 10 people in the vehicle, while the four crew members sustained minor injuries. On December 11, 2024, Flight 206, a Boeing 737-400F, had a runway excursion while landing at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja. The aircraft was substantially damaged and its five crew members were uninjured. The article identifies Allied Air as operating aircraft as of August 2025.
