In 1992 it began a company-wide integration plan, while continuing to operate familiar grocery and pharmacy banners. American Stores was delisted and ceased to exist as a company; Albertsons retained the Acme Markets, Jewel-Osco, Osco Drug and Sav-on Drugs names, while Lucky stores were later rebranded.
