Product Details & Size Guide

GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.

Keep cards together with a small reminder of AmericanConnection, the marketing brand that connected smaller communities to a major airline network through regional operators. Its history includes shifting carrier arrangements, the TWA merger transition, and the eventual move back to the American Eagle name. The brand’s final flight took place on August 19, 2014, from White Plains to Chicago–O’Hare. A distinctive desk keepsake for aviation collectors, airline history readers, and anyone interested in how regional air service has changed.

AmericanConnection was a marketing brand for regional flights connecting smaller cities with American Airlines’ network. Chautauqua Airlines operated feeder flights for the carrier at its Chicago hub, while affiliated airlines served other hubs under the American Eagle brand. Several operators had previously flown as Trans World Express carriers for Trans World Airlines, later using the Trans World Connection name during the TWA–American merger transition. RegionsAir operated as AmericanConnection until March 2007, and Trans States Airlines continued under the brand until May 2009. Business Express Airlines also flew under the marketing banner; before its acquisition by AMR Corporation and integration into the American Eagle route network, it linked smaller localities to American’s broader network. On April 6, 2010, American moved all remaining AmericanConnection operations to Chicago–O’Hare, ending the brand’s service at St. Louis. The service once operated more than 180 daily flights to 21 destinations. AMR filed for Chapter 11 reorganization on November 29, 2011. On September 12, 2012, it announced the brand’s discontinuation in favor of American Eagle. Chautauqua, the final operator, ended AmericanConnection flying on August 19, 2014; its last flight ran from White Plains to Chicago–O’Hare.
