Product Details & Size Guide

GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.

Wear a piece of Oklahoma company history with this Anderson-Prichard Oil Cuffed Beanie. Founded by J. Steve Anderson and Lev H. Prichard Sr., the business began operating in Oklahoma City in 1919 and later became associated with changing fuel names including APCO, Challenge Gasoline, and Defiance Oil. Its story spans a Cyril refinery, service stations, and a 1960 asset sale that reshaped the business. Made for fans of regional petroleum history and old roadside identities, this beanie brings a distinctive corporate story into everyday wear.

Anderson-Prichard Oil Corporation began operating in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, in 1919, founded by J. Steve Anderson and Lev H. Prichard Sr. The partnership was incorporated in Delaware on June 30, 1922, and separately organized in Oklahoma that June. Its earlier business history included Caddo Petroleum Company, organized by Prichard and partners in 1918, and Anderson-Prichard & Co., incorporated in Delaware in 1920. Both ventures closed or were liquidated after financial and operating difficulties. In 1922, Anderson and Prichard formed Apco Refining Company around the Cyril refinery; its stock was sold to the Anderson-Prichard Oil Corporation in February 1923. The company used several names, including Challenge Gasoline and Defiance Oil, before expanding its APCO branding after a 1954 agreement with American Oil Company set geographic and design limits. It acquired the Kan-O-Tex gasoline brand and reporting mark in October 1953. Prichard bought out Anderson in 1947 and died in 1949. By 1955, the company appeared on the Fortune 500. In 1960, most assets were sold to four investor groups; marketing and distribution units became a new Delaware company, APCO Oil Corporation.

This cuffed beanie carries a lived-in street energy—soft, warm, and quietly bold. The low-profile embroidery sits on the cuff like a personal insignia: a small, slightly distressed logo with a touch of red that reads as both vintage and current. It slips on easily and stays put through commutes, late-night walks, and chilly market runs, adding a subtle graphic edge without shouting.

Wear it with a worn denim jacket, layered knit, or an oversized coat. It works for creatives who like to curate a look that’s casual but considered, for city cyclists who need dependable warmth, or for anyone who favors compact, tactile details. The hypoallergenic acrylic knit keeps things comfortable against the skin while the 12" cuff gives you styling flexibility—fold it high for warmth or roll it low for a slouchier silhouette. This is a small, everyday piece that quietly completes an outfit and ages into its own personality.
