Product Details & Size Guide
GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.
Carry a small reminder of an uncommon American automobile marque with this Ardsley Motor Car Company double-sided keychain charm. The company built its Ardsley cars in Yonkers for just two documented years, introducing the 30-35 horsepower Model A in 1905 and the 35-40 horsepower Model B in 1906. Contemporary advertising called the car “quiet and powerful,” capturing how the company presented its brief contribution to early motoring. A thoughtful keepsake for collectors drawn to forgotten names and local automotive history.
The Ardsley Motor Car Company manufactured the Ardsley automobile in Yonkers, New York, from 1905 to 1906. W. S. Howard designed the car, which appeared in two production models: the 30-35 horsepower Model A in 1905 and the 35-40 horsepower Model B in 1906. The company’s salesrooms were at 50th Street and Broadway in Yonkers. By 1906, a national automobile trade magazine advertised the Ardsley as “quiet and powerful.” The Model B had a four-cylinder engine with a displacement of 6,470 cc and a three-gear transmission. Its listed output was 35 horsepower at 900 RPM and 40 horsepower at 1,500 RPM, accounting for the 35-40 horsepower designation. The car could seat five, had a 2,540 mm wheelbase, weighed 1,021 kg, and was priced at US$3,500. The available source records no merger, successor company, or later brand transition. The Ardsley was a short-lived American automobile, with production documented only for 1905 and 1906.
