GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.

Celebrate Auburn's place in American automotive history with a polo inspired by the marque's Indiana roots. The company grew from the Eckhart Carriage Company, founded in Auburn in 1874, and began building automobiles around 1903. Its Speedster models remain a favorite among collectors, while its story also connects with Cord and Duesenberg. From early production through the end of automotive manufacturing in 1937, Auburn's name became part of a distinctive chapter in motoring. Wear this piece for a car gathering, a museum visit, or a day that calls for a nod to automotive heritage.

The Auburn Automobile Company was an American automaker based in Auburn, Indiana, active from approximately 1903 to 1937. It grew from the Eckhart Carriage Company, founded in Auburn in 1874, and was established by brothers Frank and Morris Eckhart. After materials shortages forced a plant closure during World War I, the brothers sold a controlling interest in 1919 to Chicago investors. Automobile salesman Errett Lobban Cord took control in the mid-1920s and expanded production. The company built Auburn cars and, through its automotive holdings, produced Cord and Duesenberg marques. Its best-known Auburns include Speedster models; notable Cord models include the L-29 and 810/812. Sales declined during the Depression, and automotive production of the three marques ended in 1937 after Cord sold his holdings. Following a 1940 bankruptcy reorganization, the former Auburn and Central Manufacturing companies combined as Auburn Central Manufacturing. Renamed American Central Manufacturing in 1942, the business produced vehicle bodies and other goods for wartime contracts, then focused on products including cabinets and sinks after the war. Auburn's former headquarters now houses the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum.
